Legal Community Drives
Each year, associate attorneys at over 50 Boston-area law firms participate in the Greater Boston Legal Services Associates Fund Drive. The Drive is a grassroots fundraising effort, having been created and commenced by associates themselves in the 1990s. Through the Drive, Boston-area associates raise hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to support GBLS's work on behalf of domestic violence survivors.
Each year, legal departments at Boston-area corporations participate in the Greater Boston Legal Services Corporate Fund Drive. Through the Drive, General Counsels and in-house legal department leaders raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support GBLS's critical work for people with low incomes who need legal support in issues concerning health, housing, employment, and more.
Through the In-House Attorney Drive, attorneys at Boston-area companies join their colleagues in contributing to Greater Boston Legal Services’ (GBLS) work providing critical legal assistance to people when they need it most, such as when survivors of domestic violence and their children seek protection against abuse, or when homeless families who have inappropriately been denied emergency shelter seek safe, secure living arrangements.
Every year, thousands of individuals and families in Boston lose their homes, their health insurance, or their children simply because they did not have a lawyer when it mattered most. For over 110 years, Boston-area law firms have raised money to support Greater Boston Legal Services’s (GBLS) work to provide free legal representation in critical civil legal matters, often accomplishing lasting victories to help people move out of poverty. Join the 70 Boston law firms and 30 corporate legal departments, in supporting Greater Boston Legal Services’s critical work for people who seek legal aid to secure their basic needs.
You can make a difference in the lives of low-income members of the Asian community by supporting the Friends of the Asian Outreach Project Donor Campaign.
For close to 40 years, the Asian Outreach Project (also known as the Asian Outreach Unit) at Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) has provided bilingual, culturally sensitive legal representation to help poor Asian immigrants secure the basic necessities of life – food, shelter, income and safety.
Every year, AOP advocates assist hundreds of low-income Asian clients to help improve their lives.
