Corporate Fund Drive
Each year, legal departments at Boston-area corporations participate in the Greater Boston Legal Services Corporate Fund Drive. Through the Drive, General Counsels and in-house legal department leaders and their colleagues raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support GBLS's critical work for people with low incomes who need legal support in issues concerning health, housing, employment, and more.
In 2020, GBLS provided legal advice and representation to almost 12,500 clients and their families in Boston and 31 surrounding cities and towns. Yet due to limited resources, GBLS must turn away over 60% of eligible clients – meaning a family of four earning $33,125 a year or less. Despite this, GBLS provides high-quality legal assistance in areas of critical concern and regularly achieves significant legal victories on behalf of low-income families in the Boston area.
