The Associates Drive began in 1996, when then-associate
David Rozenson (now Director and Counsel, Deutsche Asset Management as well as
GBLS board member) asked Bernard Bonn, III (Partner at Dechert, Inc. and GBLS
board member
and past president) if he could contribute as an associate
to the Lawyer’s Fund Drive. It turns out that quite a few
associates wanted to participate.
Since then, the Drive has grown enormously, as a result of
the efforts of many Drive Chairs and Firm Captains.
The
Associates Drive in Boston is one of only 3 in the entire country.
Jennifer Antoniazzi, Katherine Haffner and Jerome Tichner are the Chairs of
the 2008 Associates Drive. Under their leadership, contributions from the
drive have doubled since 2005.
